Babylon ARTS Study Day: Rembrandt with Fiona Lucraft

Monday 24 June – Babylon ARTS Gallery, Waterside, Ely, CB7 4AU

10am – 4pm – £25 (£30 including lunch). Coffee served from 9.30am.

Dutch Baroque painter and printmaker Rembrandt Harmenszoon van Rijn was one of the greatest storytellers in the history of art. Celebrate Rembrandt Harmenszoon Van Rijn’s 350th anniversary with this illustrated and discursive study day. We will explore his life, 17th century times, and a wide range of drawings, prints and paintings. During the day we will consider Rembrandt’s achievements in a variety of genres, including religious works, landscapes, and portraits of his fellow burghers, his family and himself. This study day coincides with the exhibition of Rembrandt’s drawings at the British Museum, as well as exhibitions in his native Holland. Join us for a fun and informative study day to learn more about his life and work in our beautiful riverside gallery with popular presenter Fiona Lucraft.
